How to read these numbers
- Overall is the weighted mean of the three criteria, shrunk towards the site-wide mean with five imaginary votes. A car with two ratings sits close to the middle; it has to earn its way out.
- Vote counts are shown everywhere a score appears. Confidence labels (Early days, Emerging, Established, Well rated) follow the same thresholds, so a 9.5/10 from one person is never presented as a fact.
- Divisiveness compares a car's own criteria: a comfortable, reliable, slow car scores a wide spread but a low overall. It is the closest thing here to a "love it or hate it" measure, and it is not a quality judgement either way.
- Cars with no ratings do not appear at all. A blank rank is not zero.
